I can't say enough about The Highlander house. Hands down, they have the best ribs! Melt right off the bone and seasoned with their home style BBQ sauce. And their breadsticks have been their staple and are the bomb! Seasoned with butter, garlic and salt, they are light and fluffy and go perfectly with scraping up their home style salad dressing on their Greek salads. But, all their food is good. The Lamb Shank, the Lasagna, the White Fish. The wait staff is friendly and they have a sense of 'family'. Gene and Elia and Robby are the owners who are there with a smile and welcoming their clients with their Greek hospitality. Their remodel happened a few years back, and it has changed the from the original place but what a pleasant spacious new building. You won't regret your dinning experience!

Stopped by for some take out this weekend. We were greeted by very friendly staff. Including a distinguished gentleman, that my daughter and I reminisced about my childhood memories of eating there. He was so nice! Highland House has the Best bread sticks and garlic cheese in Michigan!

I tend to always pick up, but eating in is always an option too. The reason why we eat here so much is because the salads are excellent and they can get done quickly. Haven't had any bad experience here. P.S. Try the bread sticks!!!

Despite how noisy the restaurant can be (high ceilings with hard surfaces) it doesn't take away from the family-friendly atmosphere. This isn't a quiet, romantic place to eat...definitely need to speak up to be heard but that's okay. The food here is excellent. We started with drinks and an appetizer and ordered mains each. They serve a ton of food so consider sharing a dish or prepare to take some leftovers with you. Our server (Monika) was on top of everything. We waited 40 minutes to be seated but she got our order in quickly and we hardly waited any time to eat. She's a star! I had a Pink Mule - New Amsterdam Pink Whitney vodka, Select Aperitivo, Fresh Stawberries, Lime juice and Ginger beer. You can taste a hint of the strawberries under the ginger beer - very refreshing! We shared the Panko Encrusted Feta, which has a honey drizzle that really adds to the flavors of the panko and feta. I love this appetizer! I had the Chicken Spanokopita (chicken breast stuffed with spinach and feta on top of rice pilaf with green beans. This is a gluten free option and it is excellent. It came with a nearly full size Caesar Salad too! I highly recommend this chicken dish! The entire meal came with a basket of their breadsticks and they are well known for these. We took half of everything home so we'll have dinner tomorrow covered now. If you are in the area or would like to make a special trip, it's with it!

I'm not in an area much anymore but I grew up eating at the highland house. The lasagna is always a solid choice if you're a first timer. Bread sticks and ranch ! The Greek salad is excellent too. The restaurant is always packed on the weekends so make sure you make a reservation. The restaurant is clean and the staff is very friendly.

Just landed in Michigan for my niece's baby shower and was hungry for dinner so my brother in law took us to Highland House. We were greeted with a smile from the hostess and seated. Our server, Nikki, was an absolute sweetheart. She was bubbly and friendly and brought us a basket of breadsticks as she greeted us. OMG!! These are the bomb!! A little bit of crunch on the outside soft inside and just the right amount of salt. I ordered the chicken wings which are baked by the way and a small Greek salad. The chicken wings were absolutely delicious and came out piping hot. I loved that the flats were attached to the little drumsticks. They have a tasty dry rub and are very meaty. The salad was fresh and a large portion for a small salad. A great menu, diverse, something for everyone.

I'm not from Michigan, but locals said Highland house was the place to go. They were right. The restaurant was rebuilt within the last 5 years. It's open & airy. Large & comfortable. The breadsticks. EVERYONE said they were the best. They are very good, and a basket comes with your meal (or you can buy a basket for $7). The side salads. Huge! A side salad could easily serve 2 or 3. The entries. I had the chicken spanakopita- so delicious. My husband had the filet. Very good too, however he ordered it well done & should have opted for medium-well. The beers. Lots of choices of local/midwestern ones on tap. I had a Michigan peach cider that was delicious. The service. Wonderful.
